Pinellas County, FL

Bay side and Gulf side covered.

Pinellas is a peninsula with two very different waterfronts — calmer bay-facing canals and higher-exposure Gulf beaches. We build for both.

What We Do Here

Services in Pinellas County.

Two Waterfronts, One County

Tampa Bay canals vs. Gulf-front exposure.

St. Petersburg's canal neighborhoods (Snell Isle, Shore Acres) and Tierra Verde face relatively protected bay water, where seawalls mainly contend with tidal cycling and boat wake. Clearwater Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, and Madeira Beach face the open Gulf — higher wave energy, more direct storm exposure, and often narrower beachfront lots that change how a seawall or dock is engineered.

We spec materials and cap/tieback systems differently depending on which side of the peninsula your property sits on.

Permitting

City, county & barrier-island rules.

Pinellas County's barrier island communities often carry additional coastal construction control line (CCCL) requirements from FDEP on top of standard city and county permitting — especially for Gulf-front work. We navigate this as part of every quote so there are no permitting surprises mid-project.

Communities We Serve

Pinellas County, neighborhood by neighborhood.

St. Petersburg & Snell Isle

Canal neighborhoods facing Tampa Bay directly — generally calmer water than the Gulf side, but still tidal-driven wear.

Clearwater & Clearwater Beach

Gulf-front exposure means direct wave energy and storm impact — seawalls here are engineered differently than bay-side properties.

Tierra Verde

Canal community near the mouth of Tampa Bay, with tidal flow influenced by its proximity to the open bay.

Largo, Safety Harbor & Dunedin

A mix of Old Tampa Bay frontage and inland waterway lots, each with its own tidal and wave characteristics.

Also serving: Shore Acres · Indian Rocks Beach · Madeira Beach · Tarpon Springs · and surrounding Pinellas County waterfront communities.

Pinellas County FAQ

Local questions, answered.

Does Gulf-front property need extra permitting?

Often yes — Gulf-front and barrier island work can trigger Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) review from FDEP on top of standard city, county, and Army Corps permitting. We navigate this as part of every Gulf-front quote.

Is a St. Petersburg canal seawall different from a Clearwater Beach seawall?

Yes — bay-side canal lots generally see calmer, tide-driven wear, while Gulf-front seawalls take direct wave and storm energy. We spec materials and anchoring differently depending on which side of the peninsula your property sits on.
